The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was founded in 15 june 2001 in Shanghai.
Member countries include: China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Recently, Iran also joined as a full member.
The SCO covers about 40% of the world’s population and nearly 30% of global GDP.
