The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the notification for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2025. Notification Release Date: May 28, 2025


Application Period: May 28 – June 17, 2025


Examination Date: September 14, 2025

Eligibility Criteria


Age Limit:

Candidates must be born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010.  



Educational Qualifications:


Army Wing: 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized board.


Air Force and Naval Wings: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 


 Nationality:


Must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of settling in India permanently.  



Marital Status:


Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.  


Application Process


1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to upsconline.nic.in.



2. Part I Registration: Fill in basic details and generate a registration number.



3. Part II Registration: Log in using the registration number to complete the application.



4. Upload Documents: Attach scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and relevant certificates.



5. Pay Application Fee: ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates; fee is exempted for SC/ST and female candidates.



6. Submit Application: Review all details and submit the form. 



Exam Pattern


Mathematics: 2½ hours, 300 marks


General Ability Test: 2½ hours, 600 marks


Total Written Exam Marks: 900


SSB Interview: 900 marks


Grand Total: 1800 marks


Selection Process


1. Written Examination: Objective-type questions in Mathematics and General Ability.



2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Services Selection Board interview.



3. Final Merit List: Based on combined performance in written exam and SSB interview.
